A new call for applications (visitors) has been launched under the "Border Regions Peer Exchange on Solving Border Obstacles" programme, led by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and Fundación CEER (FCEER).
The initiative will select 100 visitors from across Europe to take part in ten peer-exchange visits focused on real-life solutions to challenges affecting border regions. Each visit will be built around a real b-solutions case.
The visits will take place between November 2026 and January 2027, covering topics such as healthcare, public services, transport, environmental management, tourism, social security and territorial governance.
Who can apply? The call is open to organisations involved in Interreg A programmes, including:
- National, regional and local administrations
- Universities and research centres
- European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation (EGTCs)
- Euroregions
- Development agencies
- Chambers of commerce
- Managing authorities
- Joint secretariats
- Other organisations active in cross-border cooperation
The programme will provide financial support of up to €750 (lump sum) to help cover travel and accommodation costs for the highest-scoring applicants, up to 50 in total.
Application deadline: 7 September 2026, 17:00 CEST.
Selected visitors will be announced at the end of September.
